Jim
Jones has been a Professor of Law at Louis D. Brandeis School of Law,
University of Louisville, since 1986. Professor Jones received his
BA (with highest distinction) in History from the University of Virginia
in 1975 and his JD (with honors) from Duke University School of Law in
1978. He later served as law clerk to the Honorable Judge Gerald
Bard Tjoflat, Fifth Circuit U. S. Court of Appeals. Professor Jones is an active Civil War living historian, belonging to both the 2nd Kentucky Infantry (CS) and the 9th Michigan Infantry (US). As Braxton Bragg, Jim regularly appears at reenactments in the Kentucky/Indiana region. Numerous schools, civic, and historical organizations, including the Indianapolis and Louisville Civil War Round Tables, have enjoyed his richly researched presentation on the controversial general. A collector of authentic Bragg memorabilia, Jim is married to attorney Kathleen Murphy Jones, who assists with his Bragg performances. They have two daughters. |
