Veteran horseman Larry Gunnin portrayed the fictional Trooper Faysieux, a character meant to represent one of Forrest's cavalrymen.  Larry has been reenacting for five years, four of them with the First Alabama Cavalry.  This past year, he was AAG, 1st Lt. to BG Bill Rambo. "I am also the Adjutant for the Alabama Division of Reenactors, Inc., Larry adds.  "In real life I am a Vice President with Countrywide Home Loans, a residential mortgage company.  Countrywide is the largest independent mortgage lender in America."
