A
reenactor for 20 years, Lee is Captain of 51st Tenn Inf., as well as a
member of the 52nd Regimental String Band. A busy historian, Lee is Past
Commander of N. B. Forrest Camp 215, SCV, and President of General N. B.
Forrest Historical Society. He is on the Board of Directors,
Friends of Shiloh as well as the Tennessee Civil War Preservation Assn.,
and a member of the Shelby County Historical Commission and the
Tennessee Wars Advisory Commission. Lee has served as a consultant to 11 Civil War films and documentaries, including the soon-to-be-released PBS "Black Confederates." He has appeared in numerous films, reenactment videos and TV shows as everything from foot soldier to General Polk. A graduate of Washington & Lee University, with a Masters Degree from the University of Arkansas, Lee is employed by the Shelby Co. (Memphis) Sheriff's Department as Computer Manager. |
