Writer/Director
Milton Bagby took a turn at portraying Mary Chesnut's husband after
seeing the man's photo in Miller's Photographic. "I thought,
heck, he looks like me. That solves that problem," Milton says,
giving some insight into the pragmatic world of ultra low budget filmmaking. Alabama native, Nashville resident, Milton is a frequent contributor to magazines such as American History, Historic Traveler and Civil War Times Illustrated. He edited the book "Private Soldiers & Public Heroes" and serves as an historian for the Delta Queen Steamboat Company guiding land tours of the Battle of Days Gap. His Reconstruction Era novel "Land of Crimson" will be published Fall, 2001, by Cumberland House. |
